Gildor has had some great succes in his time on the Polymoon roster

The Utrecht-based singer-songwriter Gildor creates a warm fusion of folk and Americana that feels both timeless and comforting. His music, often contemplative and intimate, carries a modern sound with influences from the 1970s.

    Release of Debut Album

    In 2021, after being discovered by UK music veteran Sandy Roberton, Gildor recorded a debut album with the help of legendary session musicians. After Roberton's passing, the album got sidetracked, but was ultimately released on Polymoon Music in 2023.

    Success in Streaming

    "Silent River" was well received and reached a wide audience. The album was included in prominent Spotify playlists such as 't Koffiehuis. Gildor performed live on NPO Radio 1 and Radio 2, where he was a guest multiple times.

    Gildor performed live on NPO Radio 1 and NPO Radio 2, where he was a live guest multiple times.

    Follow-up Projects and New Recordings

    In 2024, Gildor worked on his second album, "Long Way Round", which explores a more psychedelic and atmospheric sound inspired by artists like Crosby, Stills & Nash and Jonathan Wilson. For this project, he experimented with innovative recording techniques in natural environments.

    Live Performances and International Recognition

    Gildor’s music has taken him not only to Dutch stages but also to international venues. In January 2025, he performed in Wellington, New Zealand, where he presented his signature warm sound to a new audience.

    Gildor has recorded 27 Tapes- and acoustic versions of his songs in our very own Moon Music studios.

Gildor continues to expand on his musical progression. With the development of his fourth album, for which he received support from the Amarte Fund, he is focusing on a minimalist approach and experimenting with innovative recording techniques in natural spaces. His music continues to evolve and progress.
